Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need for class?

You will need a device to stream the class, a yoga mat (or towel), and water nearby. Optionally, you could also have any props that you enjoy such as blocks, bolsters, or straps, but these are not necessary to practice. I do suggest investing in blocks as they can enhance your practice, but if you do not have them handy and wish to use them, you can use books or firm pillows in their place.

What should I wear to practice yoga?

Wear whatever is comfortable! I would suggest wearing clothes that will be able to stretch. The perks of doing yoga from home.. you can do it in your pajamas!

Do I have to purchase each video?

You can have access to the entire video library with a monthly subscription for $33/month. This is the best "bang for you buck" and will give you unlimited access to all of the classes. However, you may also purchase each video individually for the cost of $2.99/class. Click on the "Monthly Subscription" button above to join the community at the best possible rate!

How often are new classes posted?

New classes are posted each week. Classes vary in length, theme, difficulty and style, so there is something for everyone here! All classes can be modified for any level and incorporate mindful breathing, yogic philosophy, and intuitive movement.

Where should I practice?

The wonderful thing about virtual yoga classes is that you can practice at any time, from anywhere! I do recommend taking the time for yourself during class and being fully present- this means putting away any unnecessary technology/distractions and being with yourself. Try to find a quiet space where you will not be interrupted. One of my favorite places to practice yoga is outside!

What if I have an injury?

Please check with your doctor before participating in any physical activity if you have an injury. Listen to how your feeling, allow yourself to rest, and care for the vessel of your soul that is your body.

What if I'm pregnant?

Yoga can be very beneficial for pregnant women as a way to connect with the body and the baby. However, do check with your doctor before participating in classes, as the classes offered at Free Flower Yoga are not specifically prenatal yoga. Pregnant women should avoid laying on their stomach or inverting (going upside down). Be gentle with yourself, stay hydrated, and pace yourself.
